Randy Harman is a native of the greater Harrisonburg area who has worked in the real estate industry since 1996—following in the generational footsteps of both his grandfather, Frank Harman, and father, Orden Harman. Post-graduation from Eastern Mennonite University, Mr. Harman set out to apply his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and establish the foundation of his career through his work as a full-time Realtor.

In 1999, following three successful years as an ascending Realtor and driven to set his own course, Mr. Harman obtained his broker’s license and founded Harman Realty Inc. Mirroring his own colorful personality, he exercised a lively and family-focused culture while maintaining a strict dedication to the personal and career development of each of his employees. It was this combination of ingredients, coupled with a technology-forward approach, that would prove to be Harman Realty’s special recipe—fueling its sustained growth for decades to come.

His personal achievements include receiving the highly coveted 1998 Realtor of the Year award, recognition in the multi-million-dollar agent club more than a dozen times, earning his Certified Residential Specialist designation, and serving as the President and Chair on the local Harrisonburg/Rockingham Board of Realtors.

Outside of the office, Mr. Harman has many hobbies including travel, painting, cooking, gardening, knitting, ashri shibori, droning, and most recently canning—among others. In fact, it has been said that new hobbies themselves are quite possibly his favorite hobby of all. He has a passion for personal growth, continued education, and of course, is always on the lookout for a new hobby. He lives in Harrisonburg with his daughter Savannah, his husband Kyle, their Great Dane Thunder, and their burgeoning flock of chickens.
