Mark Shapiro is a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the field of accounting. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Harman Realty team in both real estate and construction.

Mark’s career in accounting started while he was a junior in college running his own business selling drum pedals for the video game “Rock Band”. With the need to prepare his own taxes, it only became a natural fit that he focus his college studies on accounting and tax preparation.

After receiving his master’s degree in accounting from James Madison University, he has worked in the public accounting field for over a decade with a focus on construction, real estate, and development. More recently Mark has transitioned to industry accounting as the controller for a large-scale manufacturer, assisting to grow their business across multiple states and warehouses while controlling costs.

A native of Shenandoah County, Mark has spent his whole life within the Shenandoah Valley. Mark is married to Briannon, and they have three children – Mikayla, Mason, and Madisyn. Mark and Briannon are building a “tiny home” with the help of their children on Leesville Lake, and they hope to finish the construction of their small house this coming summer.
